Kevin Zhang is a graduate student at Georgia Institute of Technology, pursuing a Masters of Science in Aerospace Engineering beginning Fall 2024. His research interests lie in satellite GNC, communication networks, and rendezvous and proximity operations. As a Draper Scholar, Kevin is tasked with optimizing spacecraft camera calibration operations to enable precision landing.

Kevin completed his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering at Texas A&M, where he researched the application of real-time object detection for satellite pose estimation and natural language processing for early mission concept evaluation. Kevin has previously held internships at Draper, MIT Lincoln Laboratory, and Los Alamos National Labs.

Outside of the lab, Kevin enjoys playing the trombone in pep and concert bands, traveling around with a camera, and rock climbing.
