Liam Smego is a Ph.D. student in Aerospace Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, studying spacecraft navigation systems. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Connecticut, where he founded the UConn Propulsive Landing Team, which aims to land thrust-vectoring rockets. Liam is a co-op student at NASA Johnson Space Center, having completed internships working on spacesuit interfaces, environmental and thermal operations, and spacecraft navigation software. Outside of school, Liam enjoys running, reading, and basketball.
